I joined the family funeral business in 1985 after a career in music as a member of a band and subsequently co-director of a music production company called MCASSO MUSIC, which is now well established with an excellent reputation for producing quality music for commercials and films. Music remains a passion and our band recently reformed as ‘Original Blue’, which is totally self-indulgent but allows me to exercise some light relief from the ‘day job’ as Chairman of our company Smith Yeatman Ltd!

I am Immediate Past President of SAIF and have been a member of the Executive Committee since 1994. I am extremely proud and honoured to have been elected and to have served such a worthwhile organization.

I am married to Claire, who works with me in the business and we have three children; Edward, Hadley and Annabelle.

Apart from music my other hobbies include golf and watching Crystal Palace Football Club – well, someone has to!
