I trained as a nurse in the1960's, working latterly in A&E. The number of work related injuries I witnessed gave me a particular interest in Health and Safety. I have been a Governor and trainer with IFD College for several years and I am responsible for Education and Curriculum development. I represented SAIF on a working party that met with the Health and Safety Executive when it formed its guidance for Funeral Directors. I am involved in our ongoing dialogue with the BMA and attend meetings with them to give SAIF's view.
